KB9CRY's Hotel Directions & Places to Eat



I used to work near the Holiday Inn and will share directions and some ideas of places to eat nearby.



From NW	Take I-90 to Arlington Heights Rd. South to Rt. 72 (Higgins Rd.) East

Follow that to Rt. 83 (Busse Rd.) Head South to Hotel



From NNW	Come down 53 to 72 and follow from above.



From N	I-294 South to I-90 West then exit at Elmhurst Rd. South

Follow to Rt. 72 and head west to Rt. 83 (Busse) and then South to Hotel



From NNE	Kennedy to I-90 West and follow from above.



From E	I-290 West to Rt. 83 (Busse) North to Hotel



From SE	I-294 to I-290 West and follow from above.



From S		I-355 to Rt. 53 to Thorndale exit, head East to Rt. 83 (Busse)

And head North to Hotel



From SW	Same as above or I-88 to I-355 and follow from above.



From W	I-88 or Elgin-O'Hare to Thorndale and follow from above.





Across the street from Hotel is Starbucks, Quiznos (heated subs), and Panda Express (take out Oriental)



South from Hotel are all kinds of fast food including Portillo's Hot Dogs & Beef (authentic Chicago style incl. Brews)
and Autumn House Restarant (Greek owned, breakfast & lunch, full menu, lots of food, good prices).



North from Hotel is Spaghetti Warehouse and further is Jameson's Char House (excellent steaks, make reservations)



NW from Hotel on Rt. 72 is Lou Malnatti's Pizza, very good.



North on 83 to Algonquin Rd. then west to Arlington Hts. Rd on corner is 

Yanni's, a very good sit down Greek/Mediterranean restaurant 



West on 72 a ways is Woodfield Mall area with lots of restaurants including 
Maggiano's Italian (upscale, need reservations), Chevy's Tex Mex (great Margi's), and Weber Grill (using real big grills).
